Why try to give false presentations of oneself on the Web?
A woman once told me that some house cleaners that she knew would clean a very upscale and expensive home then take selfies of them in front of it, in front of the expensive car in the driveway, and shots around the house and put it all on Facebook claiming that they live there...
Others would scrimp and save for a vacation to Dubai...And then rent the "special room" for visitors where they would pay a couple hundred dollars to be in one of the rich and expensive room where they could take selfies and claimed to have stayed in that room during their vacation stay.
Ah, yes...The eternal attempts by lessor realistic and evolved people to "one up" their peers...And well everybody else.
What is that all about?
Well, you see as a person ages they are meant to mature...You know...Get more Sapient and Sentient...Hopefully, with a bit of Common Sense and even Wisdom thrown in for good measure...
And not act like spoiled, petulant, and lying children past the age of 18 years or so...
But apparently a lot of people don't.
Sigh!

As I sorta mentioned previously, I'm Unique...And that means that I've very, very different from other people. I have this thing called "Honesty" which is severely lacking nowadays...And used to be a Ancient Greek "Virtue".
I just call it Reality...True Reality...Actual Reality.
So the State of Liberty was a gift made by the French for America and Americans to symbolize...
Ah, no.
It was commissioned and built to be a "Colossus of Rhodes" type "Wonder of the World" for the new Suez Canal...
And the dig hit financial problems and the builder reneged on his contract with the French for it.
So the French company had it completed...And it was taking up a lot of expensive storage space...And Paris people were upset about it cluttering up their beautiful city in pieces...And didn't want anything to compete with the Eiffel Tower (which they also complained about when it was first erected)...
So the French firm had to get rid of it...But no one wanted it. Where would they put it? It was HUGE!
Someone in America got the idea that there was plenty of space in the US, particularly a small island in New York harbour...
Grant, why the Canadian "Dare Hey!" spellings? Oh, a Grantism?!
And started a door to door fund raising campaign to raise enough money from the public to pay for it's transportation costs.
The French company essentially said, "First Come, First Served! Whoever can take this massive failure away can have it!"
So not really a "gift" from the French at all...Rather picking something up at the curb before the garbage truck takes it...
But it did find a very memorable and outstanding spot where it now stands.
It's just that most people don't know the Real Story and think something totally false about it.
Like the story of Johnny Appleseed...
And American History...Which changes as your schooling and education increases...
And like so many things in our lives...
So..."The Truth is Out There!" and "Reality can actually be found underneath all the Mistaken Myths"...
And if you don't like or want to know the Truth and Reality...
Well, there's quite a few Facebook accounts with rich looking selfies waiting for you...
But...
